Gunung Payung Beach

Ticket was IDR 11k/person for locals. Touristy beach, hot, kinda hard to access unless you are willing to pay for a shuttle (IDR 25k/person one way). Not that beautiful beach, you can rent a spot under the umbrella or rent a kayak.

The prettiest beach i’ve ever seen. It’s so calming watching the clear blue water meets the shore. The way down took me 15 minutes on foot but the view was worth it, however people could take a shuttle to go down here only for IDR 25k!

One of the best beaches if you like calm waves, secret caves and less crowds. There’s a canoe you can rent for 50k per hour. Bring enough cash to pay for the caddy service that takes you down to and up from the beach, the rate is around 50k for two people. This is optional, you could always take a walk, free of charge. Entry from the main gate to the parking lot is 20k per person and 5k per car. Water is quite clean, beach sand is also clean enough.

If you want to visit here, better on the afternoon so you can go kayaking. In the morning the waves very strong, you barely only can see the white sands. But if you want to see the underwater, the scenery, better visit start from 2PM. You can pay the shuttle to go down, cost IDR 50K per person for return. If you walk, spend 7 minutes one way. Kayaking spend IDR 50K for 2 people in 1 hour.

It’s better to come in afternoon until around sunset time. The beach is not too crowded, nice for sunbathing, relaxing while reading a book. You can use stairs down to the beach (free), or using shuttle (25k IDR per person). I suggest to use the shuttle for save your energy and time.
