Turtle heaven

Great place for snorkeling, within a couple minutes we saw a couple of turtles and was able to swim with them for almost an hour, got there around 10:30am. Able walk straight in the water without any shoes too as it's sandy to get in and can see plenty only going 15m out

We went to turtle heaven at mid-day but it was filled with boats and loads of people. We ended up not seeing any turtle even though we snorkelled for 1h. I would highly recommend to just snorkel around the island in more quieter places where we have seen loads of turtles. The best was from 4.45pm to sunset. Very quiet, water super clear and beautiful with the sunset.

First round: three turtles 🐢 and five sharks 🦈. It’s a bit longer if you come from the beach and if there is a current. It’s better to have fins. It was around 5 pm.

Rented fins and mask for 60k. Snorkeled from the Irish bar as instructed. Saw several turtles. Snorkeled down the east side of the island for a bit. We swam against the current so it was good that we had fins. Saw several colorful fishes. But after diving, it wasn't that spectacular. There was something in the water that burned you, it really hurt so we gave up snorkeling after a while.

Kinda secret spot and amazing snorkeling 🤿 saw my first Gili sea turtle 🐢 🏝 today was so beautiful!
