What an emotional rollercoaster ! We arrived at the location, the road was in construction and we couldn’t find the lamp. That’s when a saw an electrical cable on the ground (picture 2). The lonely lamp was not there anymore. What a deception after all the way (from Switzerland) to see this lamp. But I looked a little bit further and I found the lamp on the beach !! You can see the way to find it in the video from this review. It is still not working and isn’t even connected to a cable anymore. But what a lamp, such a lonely feeling it spreads ! Unique experience, I recommend it 100% Pro tip : we went at 2am to avoid the crowd, it was perfect

Just got home. Cold shower. Deep breaths. Okay. I’m ready to share my experience. The lamp took a lot out of me. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. Looking past the crowds, the stewards, the security checks. What do you have? Something so astonishingly beautiful it is hard to comprehend. Hard to understand. But once you see it - you know. You just know. Good for families with kids 7+

We spent seven days on the island and really tried to save the best until last. Visiting this lamp was the absolute highlight of our trip out of two months Indonesia. We could see from the crowd around the lamp that it brings joys to many. We recommend going at dusk to fully experience the lamps aura, and transition into its full illumination.

Must see in Gili T!! Totally worth the 2 hour queue. The lamp is not connected currently but that doesn’t affect the incredible aura that it gives off. Do not miss this!!

Excellent craftsmanship and an elegant design. Unfortunately, the lamp remains off. With increased tourism hopefully the lamp will see a brighter future.
