SEKUMPUL WATERFALL OFFICIAL (POST 1)

Great waterfall, three next to each other. Very pretty. Selumpol is the largest free-flowing waterfall in Bali, 100m. There is a local fee to see these waterfalls, with a local guide. We paid to be taken thereand back by bike as we arrived later in the afternoon. There was no one there. We had the 3 water falls to ourselves. Glad we took the detour to see these beautiful waterfalls.

My favourite activity in all of Bali. Make sure not to stop at any of the signs for Sekumpul/tourist tax/entrance fee right up until this car park. Once you’re there, you do need to pay ~150 rupiah per person, which is the park entrance fee and includes a guide if you wish. The guides are lovely and let you go as fast or slow as you like, and take great shots of your group. Worth the fee to support these lovely guides!

Just lovely. It is a long walk but it is worth it. The way back was a little difficult as we had to carry our little girl, but she also loved the experince. Recomand taking the motor bike at least on the way back. We had a guide who was very helpful and took 200 picturea of ourselfs and offered to help us with the backpack.

Helpful guides even days before my visit, when I contacted them through Instagram @waterfall_sekumpul. They are very transparent about the pricing: IDR 150k for Sekumpul and the Hidden Waterfalls (Sekumpul village), and IDR 250k to also include Fiji Waterfall (Lemukih village). I think they are all worth to visit and swim in. The waterfalls are managed by the two villages, and the ticket price is used to fund the social development there and give economic opportunities for the villagers.

🚨A lot of Mafia people with anger issues. 🚨Scam alert. Read before you go! 😣 The ticket itself cost 20,000 IDR meanwhile they ask you to pay 300,000 IDR 🙄💀 for a local guide (even if you don’t need it) and blocking you from going to waterfall if you won’t pay There’s 2 sections you will visit: 1) Fiji waterfalls (3 waterfalls in one place) - 20k per person .📍on the way down, After crossing the bridge , proceed straight and left ⬅️ 2) Sekumpul waterfall itself - you have to pay another 20k per person. 📍on the way down , after crossing the bridge - go under the bridge and proceed to the trope ⬆️ Aside of that - local mafia force you to pay additional 300k ‼️ for what ⁉️ they don’t tell.. without any explanation 🤷♂️ or real ticket 💀 or document proving the value 🚩 After buying ticket for 20k , You will be surrounded by group of people who won’t let you go forward if you refuse to pay more If you won’t pay them that 300k and try to pass by their people - they will be blocking you and close the gates to the main road leading to waterfall . Even if you sneak in through the jungles - they might stalk you 💀 and on the way back they will block you 🗿 (even if you are on motorbike 🛵) . They will be threating you and trying to scare you by screaming at you and slapping your belongings. Or kicking your bike .. after kicking bike - they start to hitting you . They don’t have any real document and won’t show ticket . They don’t care about police and that place is really far from anything that can assist you legally 🙁 Thus situation is happening for a long time. More then 3 years according to words of my friends who live in Bali.. who’s always have to fight for their rights while introducing Bali to their friends and relatives.. having a vacation in Bali.. they have also noticed a cute detail in this situation.. 💔 While the exhausting dialog with that mafia.. proving your rights and cringing from the situation... 🗿you might hear respecting clapping 👏and words of support from local people🥺 (the friendly ones) During the conflict with scammers.. and right after.. you will hear so many words of respect and admiration ✊ from local people who live there (who know the truth) 👁️👄👁️these nice local people (families, children and grandparents) confirm that those guys asking 300k are scammers and they do scam people ..on the daily basis for a long time.. but unfortunately locals can’t do anything about it 🤷♂️ First of all because the truth is hidden and a lot of tourists will never know the real price 🫤 Second: even👆 IF they knew .. they will pay that 300k for avoiding that conflict (or chance to be bitten by bad guys ) Crossing fingers for the justice ‼️
