Rude behavior at the entrance, they wanted 40k for renting a sarong. We had our own sarongs so they came up with the idea that we had to pay an entrance fee, without any document, without any reason. The temple is quite nice, but the stop is about 20 minutes.

Hinduism in Bali feels like stepping back in time. Bali's Hinduism has its roots in the first Hindu travellers arriving on the island. Unlike India, where the influences from other cultures and countries accumulated in the Hindu culture and customs, Balinese customs are rather true to the ancient Hinduism, transcending back to its first Hindu visitors. However the Chinese influence does not go unnoticed. Beautiful to see how cultures merged all those years ago, these monuments serve as their time stamp and we are but time travellers ;) Recommended for people looking for spiritual experience!

Really cool stop off if your driving up the coast road! Love this statue, celebrating all the bays in the area as their are fruit farms and many fruit bats. There's a parade of shops and wurangs if you want to eat or drink. The statues goes straight onto the beach but the beach isn't anything to write about.

Small temple, but I think it was worth visiting. The bats are good visible in the front of the cave. To respect the Balinees tradition, you must wear a sarong which is included in the entrance fee of 30k. Easy motorbike parking for 2k. On the other side of the road, there is a square where you can eat dilishes, sate babi tipat.

"Goa Lawah Temple is truly a gem in East Bali. The bat cave adds a unique charm to the temple's serene atmosphere. We were impressed by its well-maintained facilities and respectful locals." - Tourist Review

While most visitors appreciate the temple's beauty, one review noted an unpleasant encounter with staff requesting IDR 40,000 for renting a sarong, even though personal sarongs are allowed. This isolated incident doesn't overshadow the overall positive experience.
