Coincidentally, I swam around that left island in 2017 while snorkeling. After the third day in Candidasa I said 'yes' to a guide and it was ultimately fun to do. Afterwards I wonder whether it was so convenient (and safe) in that open water. And still got a little seasick on the waves while swimming.
