Yeh Mampeh Waterfall
REVIEWS
$30k fee at the parking lot. There is a small store there with drinks and beer. Super nice people. Recently the path to the waterfall has been damaged from erosion so ask for the new directions. Still an easy 10 minute walk. You will get your feet wet. I was the only one there on a Monday at 5pm. I may or may not have taken the opportunity to skinny dip 😊

Stunning waterfall and hike through the jungle with many beautiful flowers and plants. Would highly recommend hiring a local guide, Caspar, from the ticket office. He was so knowledgable, funny, kind and a great photographer - we particularly enjoying learning about the indigenous plants! Great vegan restaurant at the bottom of the trail for lunch on the way down. We went on a Sunday and there were many local teenagers there (apparently it is quieter during the week). 10/10!

Another cool Bali waterfall! 30k idr foreigner, 5k parking, 150k guide, as at time of review. Well signed from main road, although we use google maps everywhere. Toilet at carpark, & another half way (7min?) up to fall. What’s surprising here is the amount of Villa’s, Bungalow’s, Warung’s, Massage spot’s on the way up to the fall. For a relatively isolated, smaller attraction, there are still these services dotting the walk. Track is paved/ concreted most of the way. Probz a 15-20 min easy meander. Av gradient. Bamboo bridge. Plenty of rubbish receptacles, including organic and recycling which is very progressive. Non-swimming, but you can get under so you can get wet. Check out the dozen or so pipes that run all the way up the side of the walkway.

Wonderfull place to visit and probably the most quiet one. Hardly a soul there, maybe we were lucky or due to location being far away on the east coast. Also in comparison with most Bali waterfalls, a relatively easy flat walk with a few steps and we had to cross a bit through the water ( wondering how this would be in the wet season). Worthwhile the trip and bring your bathers.

We had a guide, Casper, that took us up to the waterfall and told us a lot about the vegetation on the way. He was wonderful. We loved our time in the waterfall, it was like getting a massage and Casper took lots of photos of us which was great. We stopped off on the way back at the Vegan Cafe for a Chocolate Chia Smoothie which was just fantastic.
