Love this untouched area to snorkel straight off the beach. I hired a snorkel and flippers right at the end of the road off a sweet man (50,000 for both) then walked out to the shore. Saw so many fish and a couple Hawksbill turtles. I did get attacked by sea life so if you have sensitive skin, I recommended getting swimsuit. Could feel them stinging me but I had a mission and that was to get up close and personal with the turtles 🫶🏽 My advice - get a go pro , my iphone16 does not do the pics any justice. It’s truly magical seeing these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. There’s also a sanctuary on Gili Meno - please donate to help save the turtles! I also was told by the local I hired the snorkel off that a huge resort will be built at turtle point in the next year and it will be a private beach so was a bittersweet snorkel as next time I’m back, it won’t be this easy to do&see.

Dozens of turtles here at any time literally meters from the beach. You can get right up and close to them. Water generally quite clear. You get some larger groups that hoard and surround them and start grabbing them when they find one which I don’t agree with at all, that isn’t right. You can get close in small groups and as long as you don’t touch them you don’t disturb them. They get scared off a bit when they’re approached by large groups

Great place to snorkel with turtles. Snorkel hire and chilled bars next to the beach. Free - no need to pay for a guide or trip if staying on Gili T.

We rented two snorkels for 50k at about 3.30pm and bought some rock shoes (it’s a bit rocky and I have sensitive feet). It was still so much cheaper than the tours and a magical experience. It wasn’t busy when we went and we saw maybe 6/7 turtles and got to swim with them, tropical fish, see coral. It was absolutely perfect. You can rent GoPros too but a waterproof phone case should do it for any photos and videos which is what we had. This was absolutely magical as an experience and was so easy to just walk off the shore and find turtles without going too far out so we felt so safe the whole time. Cannot recommend it enough! #BadgerinGili

Amazing place to see turtles without having to pay!! Really easy to find, and the turtles are so close to the shore. You can hire snorkels and even go pros nearby and see turtles for yourself, amazing experience. There’s a platform where you can spot their heads bobbing out of the water! Must visit place in Gili T.
