Pantai Purwakarya
REVIEWS
Okay stretch of beach. Dark mineral sand. Water almost clear. Reasonably free from plastic and other rubbish. Places to buy simple Indonesian food, snacks and drinks. Warned by locals not to swim there on the second day as it was windy and we could be swept out to sea.

BE WARNED ! - dirtiest beach I have ever seen! Shocking, the local people just eat and throw all their plastic everywhere, all the way to the pier the entire stretch of beach, nowhere hygienic to eat for miles around, the Gili Islands nearby are nothing special, broken coral on the beach from the years of dynamite fishing, recovering slowly but not worth while going to, the Gili islands on the West are much better.

Worst beach ever visited⊠When we arrived, all the locals stared at us and the children jumped on us, constantly shouting âmoney moneyâ and without much of a smile, it was very embarrassing. The beach is extremely dirty. The locals in front of us smoke and throw their cigarette butts into the sea and their plastic waste on the ground⊠Honestly, itâs time for locals to worry about their plastic pollution everywhere on the island. It's scary... Even if the government is very lax, residents could be much more vigilant..
