Padang Galak Beach
REVIEWS
Now it's only Adang Alak because the P and G is missing from the name. Padang Galak is the beach at the end of Sanur, it has nice sunrise in the morning. Entry/parking is 5000 for car, for motorcyle I think 2000. Sometimes there are events like mass Ngaben (Balinese cremation ceremony) or Kite Festival but other than that, this is a very laid back beach. There are a number of warungs (small Indonesian eateries) but there are hardly anything to eat over there. First, they don't open early, and even in the afternoon, they don't sell many things: Satays, barbeque corn, meatball, instant noodle. There used to be a cart selling boiled peanuts and sweet corns (delicious!) in the afternoon but I hadn't seen it the last few times I came in the afternoon. In the morning there is still always a cart selling sweet green bean soup and black glutinous rice. Other than that, there are barely anything but it's quite peaceful. On the left there is a gigantic unfinished building but the path doesn't lead you far, on the right you can walk to Sunrise Beach (pantai Matahari Terbit) maybe in half an hour or less depends on who you drag along. You can also find chickens, cows, cats, and dogs. There are many strays here, be kind to them. They are okay and friendly, look at their body language and be attentive if you socialize your dog. The cleanliness of this place and facilities have been but can be improved more, but overall it's a good place to walk and contemplate about life.

Nice black sand beach. Visitors who wish to see the water of the sea at this beach must first climb the stairs. The beach itself has extremely fine black sand. When you first arrive to this beach, you won't be able to get a good look at the vastness of the ocean because it is situated a little ways away from the mainland.

Bali Kite Festival takes place here. Very busy, local scene. Really, really big kites of all shapes and sizes. Accompanied by contemporary gamelan.
