This place is nice for photoshoot, unfortunate the view is disturbed with unfinished building in the back. Usually this place is used for prewedding photoshoot, and some tourist also come just for selfies or enjoy the view.

The enter fee is 40.000rp, which is far expensive. Even Uluwatu is for 30.000rp! We get out of car, they show the pricelist and we get out of there quickly.

Monumen Taman Mumbul Intro

Bali, our beautiful island, is dotted with various landmarks that tell stories of our history, culture, and aspirations. While some are grand temples and bustling cultural parks, others are significant in their own unique way, serving as prominent visual markers within our communities. Monumen Taman Mumbul in Jimbaran is one such landmark. Standing tall on Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai, it's a structure that many of us pass by regularly, perhaps without fully appreciating its presence or potential beyond being a simple monument.

This monument, with its impressive scale, offers more than just a passing glance. For those of us living in Bali, especially in the Badung Regency, it represents a local point of interest that can be explored for different purposes. It's not a sprawling park with extensive activities, but rather a grand sculptural statement that invites contemplation and, for many, provides a striking backdrop for memorable occasions. As local users, understanding the true nature and utility of such a monument can help us better integrate it into our lives, whether for a quick visit or a special event.

This article aims to provide a clear, factual, and engaging overview of Monumen Taman Mumbul from a local perspective. We will delve into its exact location, what you can expect when you visit, and why it might be a suitable spot for various local activities, particularly for those looking for a distinctive setting without venturing far from the Jimbaran area. We’ll also share practical information to help you plan your visit effectively.

It's important to differentiate Monumen Taman Mumbul from the sacred Taman Mumbul Temple in Sangeh, which is a different location known for its holy springs and purification rituals. Our focus here is specifically on the prominent monument situated on the Bypass Ngurah Rai in Jimbaran, a landmark recognizable to many who travel through this busy corridor. While the name "Taman Mumbul" appears in both, the Jimbaran monument is primarily a sculptural dedication rather than a spiritual site for rituals.

Many locals, including those in Jimbaran, might consider this monument simply a part of the daily scenery. However, by highlighting its specific attributes, such as its grand size and photographic potential, we can encourage a renewed appreciation. For instance, its imposing structure makes it an excellent, free-to-access location for certain types of photography, something many residents might find useful for personal projects or even small local business needs. We'll explore these aspects in detail, providing a comprehensive guide for the local community.

Understanding the true value of Monumen Taman Mumbul lies in recognizing its distinct character. It doesn't offer entertainment or a long list of activities, but it provides a unique aesthetic and a sense of local pride. This is especially true for those who appreciate architectural statements and their role in defining a locale. Let’s explore what makes this monument a worthwhile consideration for a quick stop or a special photographic session within our own community.

Location and Accessibility

Monumen Taman Mumbul is conveniently located on Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai, Jimbaran, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia. This is a highly accessible location for anyone residing in or traveling through the southern part of Bali. Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai is one of the island's primary arterial roads, connecting areas like Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Kuta, and the airport.

Due to its prominent position on the bypass, the monument is hard to miss. Whether you are coming from the direction of Nusa Dua or from Kuta/Denpasar, you will easily spot this large structure. Its location within Jimbaran, a well-known area for its seafood restaurants and relaxed atmosphere, means it's often passed by locals going about their daily routines or heading to various destinations within the southern peninsula.

Accessibility by private vehicle (car or motorcycle) is excellent, as the monument is directly adjacent to a major road. There is typically space for parking nearby, though this might be informal roadside parking rather than a dedicated lot, depending on the exact spot you choose to stop. For those using ride-hailing services like Gojek or Grab, simply inputting the address will lead you directly to the monument. Its presence on a main road also makes it relatively easy to locate and direct others to, a useful aspect for locals coordinating meetings or activities.

While there is an entrance fee of IDR 40,000 mentioned in some reviews, it's important to clarify that information regarding monuments can sometimes be conflated with larger cultural parks. Other reliable sources state that there is no entrance fee to the monument itself, only a parking fee (around IDR 2,000 for motorcycles and IDR 5,000 for cars). It is advisable to be prepared for a small parking fee, but significant entry costs are unlikely for simply viewing or photographing the monument from its immediate vicinity. This makes it a cost-effective stop for locals.
