I actually didn’t visit the cemetery, but visiting the beach edge in front of it. There is a photo spot with a terrace, right in the street corner of Jalan Batu Layar. From here, you can see the wide ocean, feel the cool breeze, and wait for the sunset. Because it is really a steep wall cliff, the authority put peripheral fence for safety. On my last year visit, the terrace was ruined by the earthquake, the concrete roof fell down to the beach rock, left a melancholic memory. But it’s been renovated. Capture the sunset here and enjoy some snacks from the street vendors at the parking area.

Makam Batu Layar is one of the most sacred sites in Lombok. Known as the cemetery of Lombok's moslem figure who took part in spread out Islam in Lombok. It is quite good with the view of beach down the cliff.
