Goagiri Putri Temple in Nusa Penida is truly a magical experience. From the very start, entering through a small opening where even a bag on back doesn’t fit and then crawling a little bit to get inside adds a unique, almost mystical element to the visit. We went on a Saturday, during a big ceremony, and the energy was incredible. The entire cave was filled with the rich scent of incense, which created an otherworldly atmosphere. The blend of tradition, spirituality, and the stunning cave setting made this one of the most memorable experiences in Nusa Penida. I would highly recommend checking if there’s a ceremony happening when you’re visiting the island and planning your visit to coincide with it. The ceremonies really enhance the overall experience and make it even more special.

Special experience at Nusa Penida. This is a huge cave temple that most tourists 'donate' 50k to enter. Only met two other tourists when I went. Was special to witness local ceremony in the cave. Can exit from the back and walk around back to carpark.

Really glad we made a stop here. Lots of free parking opposite the entrance, rent a sarong at the little store at the parking area, short steep walk up some stairs, cool entrance through a small rocky opening in the ground which leads into a stunning cavern, filled with incense, bats, some interesting insects, if you look along the rocks, some chanting if you are lucky and hardly any tourists. Pop out the other end and a short walk back along some jungle vegetation to the car park.

HIGHLY RECOMMEMDED temple. HIDDEN GEM !!! It is a MUST VISIT place in nusa penida, which is sooo underrated. Very beautiful and extremely huge cave inside the temple. It takes around 15 20 minutes inside to explore. 5 minute walk up the stairs(in good condition) to reach temple. A general store available outside for packed food and water. PRO TIP - very Imp - Do NOT exit the temple from back EXIT gate, since there is no connection from that area to the front part where we park vehicles, you will get lost. Exit only from the same entry gate.

I really enjoyed looking around this cave temple, there were a lot of locals inside praying who we sat with for a while. A lovely woman handed us a flower and incense and helped us a little 🥰 I would have liked more information or had someone explain the meaning of the temple before going inside but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The entrance is narrow but only for a second whilst you get inside, not claustrophobic at all. I believe entrance is 50.000 as this is what everyone donates, you sign a guestbook upon arrival and pay before entering the cave. Sarongs can be rented for 10.000 at the bottom of the stairs or you can bring your own ☺️
