Do not recommend. We were under the impression that this was a “conservation” or a “sanctuary” for turtles. They said the turtles were there in the hospital for rehabilitation from being in the ocean with plastic and predators, however one of the areas they were keeping the turtles was full of rubbish. The other turtles were swimming in dirty shallow water in a very small and crowded tank. They then showed us other animals- cockatoos, owls, toucans, snakes, bats, turkeys and iguanas. This made us very sad. The owl was chained up and was trying to fly away at one stage, the snakes had their mouths taped shut, one of the toucans looked so miserable and frightened (I’m not even sure why they have these animals in a “turtle hospital”). They were very persistent and wanted us to all get photos with the animals, when told no they kept egging us on. They then wanted us to purchase photos that they took of us with the turtle statue, they took us to a shop with random stuff to buy, we also noticed a sign in the toilet saying 2000 rp!! Why are they charging us to use the toilet?!! The lady showing us around also mentioned a few times that she was just a volunteer and she only gets paid off of tips, insinuating she wanted us to give her money. Do not waste your time here! I wish I had read the reviews on this place before coming and I hope this enough to deter people from spending their money on going.

This is a terrible place. They say they are a conservation for turtles and they release them after a certain age. They had 4 areas with turtles. The babies, young, middle age, and old. The oldest turtle there is 20 years old. I asked why that turtles wasn’t released yet and the answer I got was “he isn’t old enough yet.” The other turtles were 4 years and 10 years old. The lady said they kept those for breeding. The babies she said they release once matured. I asked an age of released and her response was “well you can adopt one and we will release it.” Then she said we could feed them so our group fed every ounce of food they gave us and the poor turtles were stepping on each other to get to food. Then, I turned the corner only to find other animals. Amongst these animals were birds that’s were chained and a snake that had his mouth taped. I couldn’t even ask questions, I got so mad I walked away as she was talking to me. The only positive thing about this place is that they use a filter system so when it’s high tide the turtles get actual ocean water into their tanks. But then again the ocean was so full of trash I truly do not know if it is a positive thing or not.

Interesting but something didn't feel good. They said it is a sea turtle conservation location, where they raise the turtles up to a specific age and then release them into the wild. You can "adopt" one turtle by giving a specific donation and you receive a little turtle to release by yourself.

Great activity for family with young kids - Bats, Owl, Turtles, turkey, Python, some exotic birds as well. You could also adopt a baby turtle and release it into the sea. Boat ride to this place was also fun.

This is not a conservation place. This is purely abusing animals for profit. Turtles swimming in very shallow water, dirty, and with their own filth. Guests picking them up like some damn cat. Snakes have their mouth shut by the tape. And the government is not even doing anything about its animal welfare. This place is just wrong on so many levels!!! Shame on you!
