Many people feel you have to go right around the other side of the island to catch the sunset back actually this area is perfectly fine for it too. Anywhere from Mowie's Bar (SE) to Legend's Bar (N) is good for it, even the pier / jetty offers great sunsets as you can walk out from the land.

Everyone gathered here for sunset from the local restaurants and pubs. Was recommended by our small hotel and we’re not disappointed in the slightest ! Beaches are full with shells and corals in a way I have never seen or describe. Some local beach sellers throughout the area

If you go past the famous stores and go towards Lucky Bar, there is nothing on the beach and no seats, and there is a playground area. If you sit there and look at it, you can see even Mt. Agung at a sunset point. When the water goes out, an unsightly seaweed meadow spreads out, but the red sunset seen in the reflected water is also beautiful. It's a point where you can see Mount Agung - Gili Trawangan - Gili Meno at a glance, and when you look back, you can even see Lombok Island, so I think it's just a perfect sunset point. It's a good place to fly a drone and it's not too crowded, so you can enjoy the daylight from around sunset until it gets dark for almost an hour after the sun goes down. Although you can hear strong speaker noise around you, it is more comfortable if you think of it as a free beach club where you can enjoy it without spending money. This is a point that locals often visit, and the happy and free sight of locals playing guitar, singing, and dancing is also a highlight.
