Batu Kursi View point
REVIEWS
Just completed our walk to, and up the stairs to Batu Kuris view point from Taman Sari resort. Google walking maps will send you through a waking track that we did not want to venture into as it was overgrown, and thought about snakes!!! Back tracked to the car direction. Took around 25 minutes to get to the top from the stairs, with a few breaks on the way as it was pretty hot 🔥 and that was at 9.30 am. Nice view worth the effort.. but lm not getting any younger and l will feel those stairs tomorrow morning haha.

Nice little hike. We accidentally walked the wrong way there but I actually think it was more beautiful than the arranged stairway. So if you can, try to get lost like us 😅

Very nice place, the entrance fee in form of donation. Then you go up through the stairs. The views are crazy beautiful.

This is a beautiful hike in Western Bali! A short distance from Pemuteran, Batu Kursi Viewpoint is a relatively short walk up some stairs to a great overlook of the surrounding hills, farms, and ocean. This is DEFINITELY a hole that’s worth doing at sunset. It’s spectacular watching the sun set over the horizon! If you’re in the area, come here! 😄

Very nice place to see sunset in Pemuteran. The way up is short but demanding although you can take the stairs but I heard there is entry fee on that side. You can find free and wild access from the other side using maps.me of following the paths. Is pretty simple. The swing and the views of Java and Menjangan are worthy the climb!! The temple looks a bit disappointing so better stay in the hill with the swing.

Location and Accessibility
Batu Kursi Viewpoint is majestically situated in Pemuteran, a serene coastal village nestled within the Gerokgak sub-district of the Buleleng Regency, North Bali. The precise address provided, RMV6+HWJ, Pemuteran, Gerokgak, Buleleng Regency, Bali 81155, Indonesia, utilizes a plus code, which makes it incredibly straightforward to locate using modern mapping applications on your smartphone. This allows for precise navigation, guiding you directly to the starting point of the hike.
Pemuteran itself is celebrated for its calm waters, vibrant coral reef conservation efforts (including the famous Bio-Rock project), and a more relaxed, eco-conscious atmosphere compared to the bustling southern parts of Bali. This tranquil setting extends to the approach to Batu Kursi, making the entire journey a peaceful experience.
Accessing Batu Kursi Viewpoint typically involves a hike, as indicated by the reviews. While the precise starting point of the stairs is clear, it's important to note the experience shared by a local user regarding Google walking maps potentially directing through overgrown paths. The recommended approach, especially for those who prefer a clear and maintained route, is to aim for the designated 'stairs walk' entrance. The primary access path is known to be well-defined, albeit involving an ascent.
From anywhere within Pemuteran, reaching the base of the hike is convenient by scooter or car. The main road that runs along the north coast of Bali (Jalan Singaraja-Gilimanuk) connects Pemuteran to other parts of Buleleng and beyond. Parking should be relatively easy to find near the base of the hill where the ascent begins. For those coming from further afield in Bali, the scenic drive to Pemuteran is an enjoyable part of the adventure, offering glimpses of traditional villages and lush landscapes. While the hike to the top takes around 25 minutes from the stairs, as one review notes, it's best undertaken with comfortable footwear and perhaps during cooler parts of the day, though the views at any time are truly rewarding.
