As a Jemberese myself, I find it to be rather disappointing after the renovation is finished in December. The playground is gone and now replaced with a weird communal area with no vegetation. The walking experience in this area feels confusing alwith abstract and questionable bench placement. The only thing that's better is the new pavement and lots of trash cans, even in the center field. The jumbotron on the north side is the star of the show, though. Eyecatching visuals from everywhere in the west, south, and east area. However, the art of the Indonesian archipelago on its back leaves more to be desired since most of the islands don't look right upon closer inspection. For example, Bali has gotten pregnant in the Denpasar area, the smaller Nusa Tenggara islands aren't visible, and southeast Sulawesi has a big blob of islands merged into one. The gov't has noticed the recent damages, so I hope there'll be improvements on the part in the future. I might start rollerskating again because of the now smooth pavement.

food stall are almost everywhere we sit surround the alun alun /square. we can order coffee or tea for just 2 cents for each cup. lots of food we can choose to order, many kinds of food stall there.
