Komodo Cruise: Private Yacht Charters in Indonesia

Welcome to your Komodo cruise experience on board the El Aleph luxury yacht.

From tranquil, white, sandy beaches and tropical rainforests to volcanoes and dusty, arid scrublands; Komodo National Park is home to a range of geographical topographies from the rich and fertile to rugged wilderness. Underwater also offers a widespread of environments from tranquil bays and beautiful reefs to exhilarating drift dives and staggering rock pinnacles and seamounts.

A private cruise charter is the perfect way to explore this unique area. Komodo  promises adventure and after a day out on (or under) the water, El Aleph offers you luxurious accommodation, fine dining and complete privacy. Enjoy having the freedom to choose your own route, schedule and itinerary.

The formation of the Komodo Islands began approximately 15 million years ago and in many ways it is like the land that time forgot. Uninhabited islands punctuate the sea-scape, there are pristine white sand beaches just begging to be explored and rugged peaks to hike or trek – with stunning views over the islands from the top. Take time to visit Rinca Island to see the endemic Komodo dragons – the world’s largest living species of lizard reaching up to 3 meters in length. A private Komodo cruise will allow you and your friends, family and loved ones to discover this remarkable area at your own pace, going where you want, when you want.

Diving and snorkeling Komodo reveals an underwater world which is rich in biomass and showcases the diversity of the area. For those who want to see “big fish”, sharks, manta rays, Spanish mackerel, giant trevally, barracuda, eagle rays and turtles will not disappoint. If you prefer the smaller and more colorful critters then pygmy sea horses, unusual nudibranch, ghost pipefish and a plethora of other rare and unusual species will satisfy even the most seasoned of divers and snorkelers. Calm lagoons also offer ideal conditions for paddle-boarding and sea kayaking.

For families El Aleph allows you to enjoy the intimacy of private time together and, when combined with the range of activities possible in Komodo, this promises to be the ultimate Komodo cruise experience.

Where is Komodo?

Komodo is part of the Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. The Komodo National Park comprises of the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Padar and 26 other smaller islands.  This archipelago of islands sits to the east of Bali and west of East Timor. The Komodo National Park was founded in 1980 to protect the world’s largest species of lizard, the Komodo Dragon. In 1991 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and conservation efforts have been extended to cover all aspects of marine and terrestrial life.

For extended charters on board El Aleph, your Komodo cruise can also be combined with cruises around Bali, South Sulawesi, Alor, all of which offer different experiences.

When to Cruise Komodo?

Nusa Tenggara has the driest of all climates found in Indonesia – the islands closest to Australia have the longest of dry seasons and the least annual rainfall. The driest months are from May to October which is when we recommend cruising for the best experience.
